can you dye G-10

Internet says G10 is a "glass-reinforced epoxy laminate" so i think you can't. Epoxy is pretty much resistant to anything.

i was wondering if you can dye G-10
im kinda tired of all my plane black G-10
thanks in advance

G-10 is dyed during the manufacturing process. Once manufactured, it is stain resistant. Black is the one "color" (actually a neutral blend encompassing ALL colors) that it is impossible to dye over.

G10 can by dyed.

It can be dyed dark providing it was once a lighter color.

We covered this in my forum a while back. You might find this interesting for the info and pics it contains on this subject.

Interesting post as it was my MPR that I dyed back in January. I used dark green Rit hoping for a darker green than that awful color BM chose , the result was near black although it looks greenish at some angles in the light.

The "finish" is durable , I rubbed the heck out of it once it was dry with a white 'tee towel' and no color came off , I have carried it and used it a lot and it looks the same as it did after dying.
