Been wanting a good watch forever. Will be buying a few things with tax return money.
Have always heard high praise for the G-shock series, but have never been a fan of the rubber wrist bands. Was wondering if there were any good replacements bands in leather, or nylon.

And what are some analog/digital models around $100 or less.

I use a nylon band just like the one from countrycomm. They are tougher than nails and very comfortable.

Will the bands fit a standard g-shock without the adapter? not really familiar enough with the watch to know construction differences between standard watches with pins for the band, and the g-shock

I like county comms one piece, two ring band. Very secure and no need to remove any pins. They make them in a few widths so they will fit almost any watch. For hard use I can't find any other watch band I'ld trust as much to secure my watch.

I got my Maratec bands at Westcoast Time

I got one of the NATO bands and have been very happy with it. I got tired of replacing the plastic ones. I've had watches that I've spent more on batteries and bands than the original watch.

The band seemed a little stiff when I first started using it, but it has broken in nicely.

Nice option. I have the same strap on my DW-5600B

Just a little info if anyone is interested.... I just ordered the adapter from county com. It will not workon the G-2300 model. As i thought this might happen, I also ordered a 16 mm Martac band seeing how my G-Shock band measurement measured out just a hair over 16 mm. The band is too big to fit. If you have a newer model G-Shock keep in mind that these items might not work.

XD45, do you know where I could get replacement bands like that? I wear things out pretty fast, will want to have one ( or a dozen ) spares on hand.

Love my g shocks but the bands do suck for, me anyways. I have large wrists and can barley squeeze them on.

Aka Zero, the maratac as mentioned above is the most secure watch band I've ever seen. After using them I'm now paranoid of loosing my watch while wearing a watch without a maratac. There's videos on youtube from countycomm, check them out.

That watch is very nice, good choice. Very ,very nice, almost makes me want to think of an excuse to buy a new watch.
