That's a real beauty - the damascus pattern and the burl figure compliment each other nicely.

It came from.......Holland! Or I guess, more properly... The Netherlands ???

Lucky the wood on the knife is a little nicer than the shoes :p

Erik Markman made the knife for me.
I couldn't be happier.
Plus a pair of wooden shoes as well.
This baby will be getting pro photos.
Mine don't even come close to how nice this knife is in person.

Nice knife, there is real knifemaking talent in my country.

Bill, we abandonded these shoes from regular everyday life ages ago. We only make these for the tourists (mostly American and Japanese) and some backwater places in Holland.;):D

astounding.
like the whole thing grew out of the tree...or something.
a beauty.

I have an order in for that model by Erik. I always think they look fantastic and this one is great!

REALLY Like the overall profile !

Nice finish on the redwood, I had to check that is what it was
because it had me wondering if it was DI or walnut..:D

Very nice Integral by a very good maker !!
Congrats and Thanks for sharing !!

This is a link to the thread where Erik made the knife.
If you click on his profile you should be able to contact him direct.

Are you going to get your new shoes stabilized?
If I sent the shoes to K&G I am sure the phone would start ringing within minutes of their arrival.
Sometimes they think I am crazy, but that would take away any doubt.

Looks like the wood in the shoes is poplar.
I was thinking about sanding them finer and decorating them with some design.
Then I could wear them at the shows when I was in the mood for stepping on toes.

That is one of the best looking knives I've ever seen. I love integrals and that was executed to perfection. Looks like the size is perfect as well.
