Can you hang a hatchet on a hawk handle?

As the title says, can you hang a hatchet head on a tomahawk handle?


Would this even be effective?

You mean sliding a handle through the top of an eye meant for wedging? You can do it but because of the hourglass shape of the inside of the eye you're going to get only about half the contact you would with one made for such handles.

Depends on the size of the hatchet too. Unless it's a tiny sucker, chances are a hawk handle off the shelf won't work. You'd have to make the handle.

Yeah--you're not going to find such a handle off the rack. Gonna' have to make it from scratch, and even then the fit won't be as good as it ideally would be because of the different mode of fitting.
