I was on the forum tonight when I must have hit a key or something and I looked up and everything on the screen was bigger. The text and writing is now many times bigger and does not fit on my screen. I tried to restart the computer but that did not fix it. How do I get my size back to normal. I hate these darn things! Any help would be awesome as I know next to nothing on how this computer works! When this happened I thought I was hitting control alt delete because it froze up. when I looked up everything on the screen was magnified! Thanks a bunch!

UP on top go to the view menu, then text size. Pick a smaller size until you get it where you want it.

it sounds like it may be your screen resolution that is off. try to get into the control panels, and then choose 'display'. and then set resolution to ? I'm not sure what you had it at before. Try 800x600 maybe

First a few basic questions:
What OS are you running? Win XP, Win 98, etc.
Have you tried to resize your screen resolution? I use 1024 x 768 Myself.
Lastly, do you have any software for the visually impaired, installed? Including any that may have came with the machine, or with the OS?

If you hold 'control' and touch your mouse wheel, the text size will change. Either do the same thing to get it back, or do what etp777 mentioned

Well, I have the German keys but it could be the following (if you use MS Internet Explorer)

"Ansicht" (= View - the third pull-down thing from the left in the first gey bar from the top), select the seventh line "Schriftgrad" (Grade of characters) and choose from the five (very big, big, middle, smaller, very small) the one you want.

Now lets see if Gates` translators did a good job... Hope the German and the US-version are compareable...

I'm on a 14" screen til I replace my 19". Hitting 120% resized it bigger but it still fits on my screen, now. Much easier on the eyes. Thanks.

Rusty sounds like your using Opera as your browser :) and a good choice too, I might add.

My vote too.
One of these days I'm even going to pay
& get rid of the little ad space.
I find more things I like the longer I use it.

ddean, I can help. Which version number of Opera are you using? Better yet, download the newest version and then E-mail me at RouterGodz@yahoo.com

I was gonna get da Opera...

Is the preferences stuff as easy to use as Netscape? Or is it muddled like Explorer? I like the Netscape cuz I can turn off Java and goodies like that.

Netscape seems to be getting goofy as not all pages support it (or vice versa) anymore. :(

I like opera for most things but I seem to have most of my trouble with mail. I've had better with my email on Outlook Express. Some of the problems I had with netscape I no longer have.:)

Hum... seems like an ok program. Doesn't access the router very well though. :(

Needs some more fiddlin' with.

" Doesn't access the router very well though"

... Are you saying that your using NAT (Network Address Translation) or PAT (Port Address Trans.) and Opera just isn't getting out or back in through the gateway router. Are you talking about trying to go through a proxy server?

Usually the only problem Opera has is with web pages written using Micro$oft's ASP. Some of those pages will freeze Opera right up (or Nutscrape too for that matter). Other than that, just make sure youn install MacroMedia's flash & shockwave -then you should be good to go :)

 Dunno. I doubt it's any of those fancy acronyms that you used. It's just that to access the router options you need to use a browser and only IE works. It's the same for some other guy who has a similar piece of hardware, so I'm not worried.
