The pic itself is indicative of Mike Kerins...I do believe he posted about it some time back...

Sorry to say, I don't recall the specifics of the knife itself... :(

A Buck 110 Liner Lock, I think it is called...

LOL Dave...

Since Trax ID'ed it first, I guess I should've said it looked like Mike's carpet :)
Then you wouldn't have had to check on the whearabouts of your's Dave. ;)

Hey Darryl...I think that's Mike's 110LL, I've heard that Wally has 112 tins this year, and "Happy Holidays"!!!!

FYI,
According to the computer, we only made about 350 of those 110LL! I still remember them going through the production line. Nifty knife.

and acording to the computer you lost between 10$ to 20$ due to the amount of hand work required to fit and less then the first half had the
'Limited Production'
engraved on them
correct?
wow~ Dr. Z says~
"zthis veels verry good to ve ables to reels offten ze Buck Knife triva's!"
ugh no offense ment there H.!;) :D

As a matter of fact, you are correct sir! Rest of the story goes like this...The idea was hatched by Wilde Bill Cody. His prototype was made of brass, which is much for forgiving when used to do something wierd like this knife. He told them not to use nickle silver but did they listen? Nope. I do think it looks nice but we had to rework them time and time again.
Brass with stag would have done the job!

yes they do look nice i would like to try one and even if it just sat there i would be happy:D
but as for the brass i can appreciate it is easier to work with in the manufacturing side of it but for the consumer the nickel is the way to go brushed stainless or damascus would be better for the collectables imo

the brass is always going to have its old school followers but remember their time is limited ;) :D sorry guys:D :p
