i belive to remember reading about a new fixed knife
from one of the (better) "tactical folder - manufacturers"
a hunting-like knife with wood handles,
- from a firm i did`not expected such a knife.
OK this is not much info but you may know what i mean?
And i wonder hearing nothing about this for weeks?

Sounds like you are thinking of the BM 180 Outbounder. It's a bit unusual for BM and supplied with a leather pouch-type sheath.

BTW, a very nice knife in 440C, giving alot of usable blade edge in a compact package.

Comes in at a very reasonable price, too.

Bigbore.45 , if they haven't hit it with the BM180, don't worry a few more days and someone is bound to stumble on it :)

BM Outbounder,
now (knowing where to search) i found it:

i have to order one asap!

@ PhilL: A Camillus / Fisk Bowie seems to be a *VERY* cool idea,
i just read the thread in the Camillus-forum :)
