Can You Identify These Splitting Maul Markings?

A buddy sent me photos of a splitting maul restoration he's working on and asked for some help identifying the maker. I'm assuming the 6 is indicating 6 pounds, but the others I'm unfamiliar with. I found references to the KL Co. stamp on another post on the BladeForum in reference to a froe. But it doesn't provide too much help. Here are the photos showing before electrolysis, after, and a close up on the markings. Anyone got any ideas?

I've seen that first symbol. Verona Tool Works possibly. I agree the six is probably weight. I'm not sure about the last symbol, maybe a hardware store that ordered a large batch of mauls from Verona Tool Works. Near perfect condition whatever it is.

Great looking maul. I'd almost hesitate to remove all of that original paint. Even the edge bevel had paint on it. Like Trailmaker said, near perfect.

And Trailmaker is right about the logo.
