Faux-Emerson..a.k.a. a cheapie with counterfeit Emerson "logo."

Yea, as others have mentioned previously mentioned, it's not a real Emerson. Use it hard till it falls apart :)

I appreciate it big time guys, i had concerns that it was fake. Still im glad it didn't cost much

Yeah, as others have said, fake. I was at their shop recently and I can say that there was nothing under the glass that looked like the knife in the pic. Yep, beat it death, get your $20 worth... But be careful, likely not made very well. You don't want questionable construction/materials to come back to bite you... Literally.

I hate fakes! Glad you did not pay an Emerson price for it! I wish they would do something to the people who make these. It is a shame someone is trying to cheat someone out of their hard earned money!! :thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn::thumbdn:

Glad you just put a little bit in it! I would never do someone this way!! Kevin

Sweet, thanks again. My buddy bought a zero tolerance 0550 at the same place used for $65 but. Everything on it looks perfect and i believe it is the real deal. I believe he is making his own post now for you guys to determine for sure.

You just need to study up. Your friend did very well with the ZT. If you find one and are not sure do some research on it. Look at factory stampings and where things like screws that hold the handle in place or what the pivot looks like. Most of the time you can tell. Just need to study up so you don't miss out on the BIG ONE!!! :D:D:D:D

Using literally at the end of this sentence means that the knife is going to grow a mouth and bite the guy holding it. It's no big deal, I just see the word "literally" used wrong on the internet more than any other word. It doesn't matter though, whatever.

Torx head screws are the first giveaway- Emerson ALWAYS uses straight or phillips head screws (except on the original Benchmade CQC7 from the 90's).

That MOD folder is an LTF875. It looks legitimate. MOD made both automatic and manual versions. As long as it's in good shape, $75 is not a bad price (though it is a pawn shop, so see if you can negotiate down to around $60!). They're among the last of the pre-Blackhawk!, made-in-U.S.A. folders that MOD made, and fairly hard to come by.

It might make up for your phony Emerson!
