Just to add on, the type of khanjar / Jambiya you posted is mostly associated with Syria .

I am no expert, but to my eye it looks like a tourist piece. Especially looking at the way the handle is fitted with the protruding sharp looking metal inkay dividers between the inlaid tiles.
