It is a bunch of stabilized scales and I received it without name labels. I’ll do one pair per post.

Okay well not this post since I am 99% sure these are all the same species and maybe some kind of walnut?

That’s all I have for now. Thank you!

1&2 - Redwood burl or box elder burl and buckeye burl.
3&4 - Mango and flame maple or buckeye
5&6 - Maple or persimmon and buckeye burl
7 & 8- Mango and buckeye burl
9 - looks like persimmon, but could be anything from walnut to hackberry.

I have processed maybe 500 blocks of buckeye burl and it varies from yellow to gray, often with both mixed in one block. There is sone with only grain and others with lots of curly stuff and burl. The eyes and bark inclusions are very recognizable. About the only thing that sometimes looks like it is some box elder burl.
Same for redwood burl. The eyes are hard to mistake. Like buckeye burl, some box elder burl can have similar patterns.
