My EDC is a Benchmade AFCK with liner lock. Bought it about 9 years ago and was real happy with it until I bought a Howling Rat and a Meaner Street. Now I am not happy with the ATS34 steel. I've been saving my money for a Rat Trap, which I just found out is discontinued. Nice...

The engineer in me says it is time to make my own. I could sacrifice a Busse fixed blade. Cut the blade to fit in my folder. I am sure there is more involved in this than is readily apparent. But I am getting desperate. I know a friend with a machine shop. I'm gonna bounce the idea off of him.

Here is something intresting i saw while searching for more info on the "folder"
a couple of months ago, its from a german forum.

Except the operating members still nobody saw the folder.
Nevertheless penalty has already hundred from Vorbestellungen
It told me that it will give 3 different sizes, might thus for each somewhat thereby be.
The folder runs probably into the Combat degrees of series, thus more hand manufacturing. Therefore my estimation after, then also original INFI is used.
The strength of the LOCK is not yet well-known in Pound.
Those fastened the prototype to jacking equipment and raised then Jerry´s car with it.
The car was the American military jeep “lobster”

I estimate that the folder will be available starting from approx. 500 DM (with today's dollar rate).
The SHOT show is in January, afterwards I will have pictures (and measurers).

i cant even make a grilled cheese.....

that cucchiara is AWESOME!!!! now when can ordinary people get one?

You did notice that the German threads were 6 years old, right??

For those forutnate enough to attend some of the Blade shows, Jerry brought a proto for us to drool, slobber, and faint at the sight of.

(in my best Orson Wells) Busse will serve no folder before its time...

If anyone has both, a large classic Sebenza and an Active Duty, both have pretty much the same blade profile and size. The open Sebbie is a bit over 1/4" longer than the AD, OAL.

Noticed this when I happened to be carrying both at the same time.

(as noted in the link.)
Anyone who has ever dealt with upper levels of gov't will quickly realize that 11 years to get an approval for something is not out of the norm. Frustrating as all heck, but not unheard of. Makes 2 "Busse weeks" seem pale by comparison:p . Between this folder and that 4" GW that might be hiding behind lead lined walls, this would make life good for me.

(I've been playing in Gov't at the provincial [bad enough] and federal [much worse] level for 26 years, how I have any sanity left is a question I'm not sure I want answered!)
