Hello there, can you please explain me why I was banned? on my another account, it says "return of banned member". I don't understand if banned member returns, gets paid subscription 2 times in a row, makes several succesful trades and obeys rules, why should he be banned? I've re-read forum rules and there wasnt anything said about returning of banned member, that he will get banned if he returns.. my account name is h7per which is banned.

Anyways here is my story, Ive been banned about 2 years ago from forums, yes it was my fault and mistakes causing the ban. I deserved that ban because Ive overstepped rules that time (that account name was miracle- as far as I remember). after that ban I havent logged on forums for some time about 2 months or so, then created a new account (h7per) purchased gold membership and purchased several knives and sold also. after that I havent been active for almost 1 year. recently Oive returned on that account, purchased gold membership again and also purchased blade or two. during al that time on my second account (h7per - which now is banned) ive been obeying forum rules and never dd anything offending anyone.

But some member recognized me and asked me tok get banned because I was banned before and because they "hate" me and seems that my presence is annoying for them. It was happening on Carothers Sub-forum. Blues (the moderator) talked with Nathan and decided not to ban me (again I do appreciate their decision but I still dont understand why I should get second ban when I havent done anything wrong second time). But those members still disturbed Nathan, Jo, Blues and others and asked to ban me. Ive recieved several seperate PM's from Nathan, Jo and Blues. They told me that some members demand me to get banned and that I have to lay low, to log off for several weeks and then come back and be quite member without much posting and etc. Ive said okay, as I was going to trip to sea and had some stuff to do after 1 week long trip, so said that I would try not to log in for around 2 weeks and then I would law low and wont be much active member (tho my activness wasnt violeting any rules, just it pissed some members off idk why). So when Ive went to my trip, after several days 4 or 5 I wanted to check forums but without logging in, typed bladeforums and just after hitting enter I remembered that I had marked "remember me" and Ive logged on my account by mistake.. after it happened I was bit worried but then I couldnt resist temptation and checked fixed blade sales forums and saw that one blade which Ive been searching for some time poped up, so posted in that thread and pm'd to seller that I wanted to buy it and gave him my contact email. after that I havent logged on forums, and after 2 weeks when Ive came back at my home ive tried to log in my account and I saw message "banned, reason: return of banned member"

Now please explain me, why I was banned, is it fair to get banned when you have lesson learnt and obey rules but some "old" members ask for you to get banned? is it reason for getting banned? Ive never seen such statment in rules of forums. Again yes I was banned before and yes it was my fault, but lesson was learnt and after that Ive came back purchased gold membership twice and acted honestly and obeyed rules and should I be banned?

banned account name: h7per

Sorry for long message just wanted to explain everything in details.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Stay healthy and stay sharp.

Pretty sure evading a ban by creating a new profile is both against the rules and something that generally results in a ban.

We ban the person, not the account. Once an person has been banned, the expectation is that it is permanent.
It typically takes a lot to get banned. But it also requires time and effort by the moderators to deal with the issue(s) that led to the banning. The mod staff is small and does not want to waste its limited resources dealing with repeat offenders. So if you manage to get yourself banned, then you stay banned.

Well overall it means that there is no place for me here because of my mistake right?
Sorry don't get me wrong, just want to make everything clear for myself so I wont have any questions left and I will do as it's right.

The story of my first ban developed quickly for me, Ive been obeying rules and staff for around 1 year, then because of real life problems and being unfaithful Ive acted wrong, on hot mind, out of desperation and overall Ive acted wrong and was banned, and with all my honesty I can say that Ive deserved that ban..
After several months Ive rethinked everything, was sure that I was totally wrong and everything was my fault, and after that Ive returned with different account. (you know what has happened after that).
Now I just want to add that before getting ban on my second account (h7per), when forum members who didnt liked my presence here found out that it was me, they have asked to ban me, after that happened, Nathan Carothers, Jo and Blues (forum moderator) talked and decided that mistakes happen to everyone and sometimes people deserve second chance, considering the fact that Ive been obeying rules after my comeback.
And then still those members were asking and demanding to ban me and etc, and then happened what Ive said in my first post, PMs from Nathan, Jo, Blues to lay low for some time and etc. and what happened with me after that and that I was banned.

Overall, dont get me wrong, Im not arguing I just want to make clear, there are ups and downs in everyones lives, Ive been honest member on first account, trying to contriubute forums and etc. but uncertain things forced me to act wrong out of desperation, after everything passed away Ive came back with second account and was trying to obey rules and be decent member. So I shouldt log on forums anymore in my life? There is no place for me here or?
Please dont get me wrong but I just want to know, everyone can fall down, act wrong but does that mean that that person wont change and he doesnt deserves second chance?

Sorry for disturbing.
Stay healthy.

This is the matter we discussed a while back. I had discussed the matter with Nathan and Jo Carothers and we agreed to let sleeping dogs lie and not take action against the OP for his past trespasses, even though he was technically in violation as a "returned" banned member.

That said, I had given my word to look the other way if he laid low for a while and would be a good citizen on the forum going forward. That meant specifically not creating issues in the Carothers Performance Knives sub-forum or elsewhere on the site. He agreed to do so.

Unbeknownst to me, another member made a report to moderators in the interim reporting a returned "offender". I didn't see it and he was banned.

I feel that I have not lived up to my side of the bargain which was to give him a chance to redeem himself...despite the fact that we are within our rights to show no leniency.

If you don't mind, Frank, I'd like to give him the opportunity to make things right here. If he doesn't, I'll be happy to flip the switch to send him packing.

I know you agreed to this in the past when we discussed it, and I'll take the heat for any aggravation anyone has over the decision, going forward.

I've lifted the ban on member h7per h7per

Once he's aware that his account has been un-banned, we can ban this duplicate.

Anyone with any heartburn over this, you can respond here or reach me via PM. I'd like the opportunity to keep my word and help someone, who seems to be sincere, resurrect themselves.

Fine by me.

So in the future if I get banned for not following the rules, all I gotta do is just make another account and ask nicely that you don’t ban me again? Seems fair to me.

No, this guy made at least 3 different new accounts after getting banned. Each with different fake names.

Looking at the OP account he’s going around spamming members profile pages begging for a Carothers that nobody is even trying to sell. Glad to know we are keeping the forum alive with quality members.

I'm sorry you guys are having a hard time with this.

I gave my word, before the recent account was banned, to give him an opportunity to resurrect himself on the site. That got derailed because a member reported the matter and knarfeng knarfeng was unaware that I was already working with the individual and had also discussed the matter at some length with Nate and Jo.

If you can't live with it, or forgive me for providing him with a chance to start fresh, so be it.

I will say it seems relatively petty in the scheme of things that are wrong in this world to get so worked up over this b.s. The world I have inhabited over the past six plus decades has not been so squeaky clean and perfect. And I know I've needed a second chance a time or two.

Why not just try giving the guy another chance? If you can't do that, put him on ignore. Nobody's coming to your home to do you any harm.

If you can't do that...well, just move on, I guess. Ain't none of us perfect.
