can you recomend brands of wet & dry sandpaper?

I can't find any wet & dry sandpaper with really find grit here. I'll have to order them online, but before I do that I want to know if you guys know if there are any brands that stand out positively.

Have you ever looked at Auto Zone or a similar automotive store? Thats where I get mine.

Like said above or Walmart in the automotive section. They usually have up to 2000 grit.

you can also try looking at a automotive paint supply, they should have al least 3500, if not higher.

but to answer your original question i have always used "3M" brand on cars so when i started sharpening knives with it its what i used and it works well, i have never had any problems with it. but honestly i have never tried anything else to compare.

3m! And for coarse grits, sand'paper' on linen by Robert Bosch.

Anything by Indasa and Norton have treated me well. For the ultrafine grits I use 3M.

I've only used 3M. Very happy with it, so I've never looked at the other brands.

I can usually get up to 2000 or 2500 grit at a local hardware or auto supply store, but not always on the first try.
3000 and up I'd go online.
