Can you recommend a Maxpedition wallet or pouch to wear on my belt? I am considering the Rat Wallet and M2. I want to be able to remove it easily without unbuckling my belt. I am looking for a small pouch to carry my wallet, 2 sets of keys, knife, pen and sometimes a small cell phone. I live in a hot climate so I often don't wear a jacket and I don't want to pack everthing in my pants pocket.

I already have a fatboy and a backpack. Can the M1 & M2 be removed without unbuckling my belt? What about the Rat Wallet?

Advice and recommendations are welcomed.

No the M1 and M2 have clips you need to use if you want to remove it/attach it to other item (You can use the belt loop, but like you said, you have to remove your belt to take it off.) I had this exact problem with my M1, it was actually the reason I lost it (since it was not on my belt at the time. damn $300 worth of stuff in it..)

if it's not easy to attach & remove, then you will leave it off, and lose it like I did.. damn..

you can also look at something like a 5.11 vest (which is light, and has lots of pockets for gear)

Rat Wallet looks big but I like the plastic snap release. I prefer the Rat Wallet over the pug wallet. Please provide opinions on the Rat Wallet?

I just tried with my Rat Wallet and yes it will come off, but you really have to pull on the velco - which is a good thing because then it shouldn't come off accidently.

Hi All-

The RAT wallet can handle things like cellular telephones, PDAs, cash, credit cards, and things like that. The PUG wallet looks considerably slimmer and designed for cash and credit cards. Both look like they're built to typically strong Maxpedition standards and are available in black, green, or khaki.

The RAT sounds like the best choice for OICW according to what was mentioned in the original post to this thread...

Is the RAT wallet too big in size? Do you have to constantly take it on and off when you sit down?
