can you shape the handle of a KaBar Large Heavy bowie?

is is solid plastic that can be contoured a little or is it hollow inside so you can' really grind on it?

Already carry a dagger this size, was thinking about getting this to carry but the handle might be a bit fat...

The handle is solid rubber (kraton). Grinding may be difficult. I have small hands, and I love the handle.

i put neoprene on the knives i make and i use my belt sander to shape it down. its messy and gets all over the place but doing it outside on a windy day cuts down on the mess.
