Can you spot the blem?

Not too hard to miss this Blem. Cocobola with 5160 steel.

Boiled some vinegar and some mustard to force a patina on the 5160 steel. I'll do some more tomorrow.

That blem is pretty insignificant if you are going to use the knife - maybe sand it lightly overall, work that area, then rub a new finish on the handle? OH

Gives the handle some character, that blem wouldn't bother me at all.

Blem doesn't bother me at all. Unique for sure.

One time for 5 min in boiling vinegar. Then a couple mustard applications. Fun to experiment with.

Looks like whoever did the fuller really hashed up one side.

I wouldn't mind the black dot on the handle.

Seeing the 1st pic fuller was gonna be my guess for blem as well.

Because it's all hashed up and rough.......that's what happens when the fuller is bungled.
