Can you tell me about the seal pup elite?

I've seen it online for about $50-$70. Is this a durable knife?

Two more questions..

Will it hold and edge well?

And can I sharpen it easy with this pocket sharpener?

It's a great knife..get the plain edged one.

Tips can be a little fragile. Nice handy size and lightweight.

SOG Gov-Tac is my fave for camping..way stronger.

Its a great knife. Not too big and not too small. AUS8 is easy to sharpen so you shouldn't have a problem with that sharpener

I have one. The AUS-8A is excellent as usual. It has a full tang also. The only bad thing are the sheaths. The kydex sheath is not well made and besides being damaged when I got mine out of the box, the belt attachment just fell apart. The 2nd sheath I got from SOG was the "Jump" sheath. The plastic insert fell out when I drew the knife and is now sitting somewhere up in the Black Hills. You really need to use the flap on that sheath too, because the handle strap does not hold the knife in place very well. I now use a Kabar Shorty sheath. Works well. The SEAL Pup Elite is a great knife but unfortunately SOG DOES NOT warranty their sheaths.
