Can you tell me more about the Eskabar?

I understand that the Eskabar is a collabo with Becker/Kabar and Esee. How does it compare to the Izula II? I found it for 29.99 online. Is it covered by the same warranty as other Esees? Is the price cheaper than Izulas because it isn't pure Esee, and part Becker?

Thanks for your info, I was thinking of checking one out for the price...

No warranty from Esee. I don't have an Izula II so I can't compare them but I know the handle is longer on the Izzy II. I think the price is cheaper because Kabar makes them & they're a huge company. Hope this helps.

they're a bk-11 blade on an izula handle, built by ka-bar, so it's not warranted by ESEE. think I'll get one some day.

They gots juice, check'em out in the Becker forum. There's a vid I posted of Ethan Becker doing destruction test on one. :D:thumbup:

Otis - get one.
I'm loving mine and until I got it I thought the izzy was perfect.
slightly longer, wider blade, still flat ground - awesome slicer.
OTOH, I also have an izzy 2 on the way, so the longer handle and scales may tip the balance back.

come over to the Becker side :) we have reviews on it, pictures, FAQs...

KaBar's warranty is pretty darn good too, but that's not usually the first thing i worry about. then again, if you deliberately on purpose destroy it, it's their call, otherwise they are pretty understanding. don't chuck it in a vise, or smack it with a rock or a hammer, and that sorta thing.

it's a real good knife. with a wee bit of trimming, the Izula micarta fits on it too.
