Can you texture G-10?

Got a Benchmade 740 Dejavoo that I really like however I wish the scales had more texture to them. Is there a way to add texture to them such as stippling? I've seen folks use a soldering iron to stipple the frames of their Glock pistols and was wondering if you could do something similar with G-10?

I would not try to burn G-10. I believe it is heat rated to 280 F. But with any FRP materials you can drill, dremmel or cut it.

You can do filework. It gives you a larger texture that feels very good. Here's a ZT0350 I just worked on:
