Is there any dealer of ESEE knife in Canada ? I have found 1 and it is very expensive compared to other places in the US. And the Canada's custom are really a :jerkit: :barf: and charged me a LOT for my USA-shipped RAT RC5

I have checked to one from the international dealer section of eseeknives.com

Thank you for your time

I have ordered from Workwear canada and their prices are ok..a little bit more but no wait and no hassles at the border.. Righ now I'm waiting on Knivesshipfree for my order.. It was a bit cheaper and they ship USPS and charge $5 to ship to canada regardless of your order size.. I calculated it and figure u'll prob save about 20bux or so if you order from the states compared to Workwear but the wait can be a while

They have a good size order in with us right now so they should have them up soon.

pretty much the only canada spot I saw was workwear .. supply sargent dont seem to carry it.. and if you click on the ESEE knives, you get 3 multi-tools

Oh, so they are stocking our multi-tools? :D

oh! good to know.. im still considering the US but i'll see .. patience is a virtue that i usually lack when i come to get my new knives.

workwearcanada.com is a great site to order from for us Canucks - I've purchased several items there since finding their URL on the ESEE site. Paul, the guy who runs it, is great. When I ordered my RC-6, he sent me a non-automated email confirming the order and letting me know he would be shipping it shortly, while also adding some of his own thoughts on the knife. That really surprised me. We emailed back and forth discussing knives and woods gear for a little while after that. Great customer service if you ask me, very friendly.

Not only that, but I received my knife in the mail the day after I ordered it. Even though that was mostly because the company operates here in BC, and the knife didn't exactly have to ship far, I was still impressed. Shipping was free, too. In fact, I was so satisfied with the experience, that I ended up ordering a daypack and some cooking gear from the site a couple days later! I'm probably going to order a Bark River knife through them once I have some more loose change.

And yeah, their prices aren't particularly amazing, but they're still significantly better than special ordering through your local knife place. And I think the extra cost is worth not having to worry about losing your blade at the border during international shipping.

Whew, sorry this got so long! Hope it helps.

PS: I'm new to the forum and ESEE knives, but so far I'm very impressed with the product! The 4 is next on my list :D

I agree, Paul is very helpful and offers some good info about all the knives.. If you actually factor in that he ususes expedited shipping for free it actually is a decent deal.. I'm the type that would rather pay the extra few dollars to get my stuff quicker and to worry less about border fees, duty and taxes..I'm probably going to order a Orange Rc-3 and an RC-5 in the next few days from him!! Oh I love this addiction :D

Workwearcanada is a good place to buy within Canada. If not, then my pick would be knivesshipfree.com. Derrick will take care of you. I have received all of my ESEE knives from Derrick, with zero hassle from Customs. Fixed blades are not a problem entering Canada.

When i ordered my RC4 a month or more ago Workwear was quite a bit more $$ than The Knife Connection which has a kind of a sale going on. Even after i added insurance on the pkg there was still about $35 on the table. When you order anything from the states you DO NOT use UPS, you use USPS,,no duty, no hassle and ask to have the "gift " box marked.. I like to use a Canadian co. when possible as long as the price is within 10-15% unless i can get the item serviced local to me,british columbia, then i'll pay more. The RC4 is very nice, desert tan

Whenever buying from the US to Canada, find a retailer that ships USPS and you will typically not pay any fees at the door. I have ordered ESEE knives three times from KSF and have not paid any more than the $5 the charge in shipping. Always a better deal than anything I have seen in Canada...
