They lost my package with my horn handled jange and osage orange hanshee!

it's been about a month now, i received a delivery notice and when i went to pick it up, the post office said that the delivery notice was invalid.

i said, how the can this be invalid? the next few explanations tried to pin the blame on me. i was confounded with the attitude considering that i approached them in a friendly manner.

"did you pick up the parcel and take the notification at the same time? you aren't supposed to do that you know!!!!"

"well if i did that, you would have the notification on record"

"well i don't know, this notification isn't even on our records. where did you get this notification???"

"buddy, i picked it from my mailbox."

"look, when the package gets dropped off, a notification is sent and the package is processed at the same time. (or something to that effect) there is no way that you could have been sent this notification."

<this i didn't understand, if this notification couldn't have been sent, than what is in my hand?>

"look, you can't possibly have that notification. there is no package or record here"

<Dave experiences deja vu>

"i can't find, it. i've looked everywhere."

i basically got the, not my problem attitude.

i called Canada Post and they are investigating. haven't heard anything from them.

:(

Very, very bad karma to lose a blessed blade, much less two.

If someone stole your snags, they will incur the rightful wrath of the original Kami.

AA  :(

(By the way, if someone from the post office tells you that your "big wife in the floppy hat" came in and picked up the box three days ago, he's a liar!)

Wow...the Browns are going to win again???

I *am* impressed Danny!

Dave, for some reason it makes perfect sense that guys who treat you that way wouldn't want you to have access to weapons.

i went back later today to ask if they found my package.

the response was priceless.

"What... you didn't receive it yet?"

in a more forgiving light, this is the first time i've had a package gone completely missing like this. i've done a lot of business with them and they are still my courier of choice.

on the other hand, why did it have to be my horn jange and osage hanshee?

:(

well, its really more of a yellowish hickory hanshee and the jange has a tiny spot of rust near the bolster....

Upshot of working for post would be: spending less on Christmas! :D

Namaarie

PS. Danny, if you truly support Dave, you will fly to Canada and find his friggin knives. And teach the perpetrators a lesson. :)

as to HI standards, Yangdu offered a refund. I refused. I told her I'd like to wait a month.

even if it doesn't come in, I'd just rather use the money as credit toward my next conquest.

what irks me the most?? not that it was stolen, not that i lost out the money.... but right now is not the best time to be bugging Yangdu and Bill with troubles.

damn whoever lost or stole my package. not now!!!
