Hello everyone, I'll be taking a trip up to Canada this summer (specifically Vancouver Island and possibly Vancouver BC). I normally carry a couple of multitools and a Becker BK2 in my car and my ZT 0400 Scavanger on my person. My question is, am I going to have any problems with the law if I'm out hiking around in the great outdoors with my Becker on my hip and will I have any problems if I'm out walking around in the city with my ZT 0400 (it is spring loaded) in my pocket? Should I leave the 0400 at home and take my 0200 instead (which is not spring-loaded)? Any other laws I should be wary about when in British Columbia, Canada? Thanks guys (& gals).

Assisted are legal but autos are not though I don't understand why. So your ZT0400 should be fine and the BK2 as well when trailblazing.

if you have a valid reason (which it seems you do, hiking/campcraft, edc chores etc.) and they are not concealed.

Concealed is actually okay, as they are tools: no law against concealed carry of tools.:)
Some cops try to view concealing as showing intent, but the law isn't really on their side on that. In Calgary, the city by-law says knives must be concealed, or they give you a fine (they feel that seeing knives makes people uncomfortable).

Concealing a knife is not illegal anywhere in Canada. Concealing a weapon is illegal everywhere in Canada.
