Murray St. Amour standing behind his table, always eager to answer a question from a novice collector.
Christoph Deringer assisting the winner of one of the Silent Auction knives in her purchase of a case from knifemaker Rick Frigault.
Rick Frigault in conversation with maker Mike Mossington.
Maker John Benoit, from London, Ontario, examining one of his knives.
The two Pauls - Johnston (l.) from Smiths Falls, Ontario and Savage (r.) from Ayr, Ontario - having a very serious technical discussion about the merits of stock removal over hand forging. (and of course a transcript of what was REALLY said: "So, where are we having dinner tonight?")
A Canadian rising star: the very personable Randy Doucette.
It was such a pleasure to again see several of the top makers from the province of Québec attending the CKG show! From left to right: Antoine Marcal, Juvan de Braga, and Juvan's father - the inimitable master of the movie sword: José C. de Braga. The blades that M. de Braga brought to this show were truly astounding.
Two more fine makers from Québec: Patrick and Paul-Aimé Fortier. Superb work, gentlemen!
Knifemaker David MacDonald.
Knifemaker James McGowan, a dedicated firefighter in his "spare time" (or is that the other way 'round?).
