Hi everyone!
Just joined the forums - nice place!
I was wondering if anyone knew the knife laws in Canada, precisly in Quebec.
I searched a bit throughout the forums before posting, but found mainly American laws. I know about the concealed/non-concealed thing, but what about blade lenght, type of knife and the such.

To make it easier, here's an example;
I plan on owning a Eickhorn KM 2000 knife, and just don't want to have any run-in with any law inforcement and not know my rights.

Sorry for being a bother, as this must come up real often. I appreciate the help.
Thanks a lot.

There is a sticky in the Canadian sub forum , in the Community section .

In a nut shell no autos , push daggers , balisongs , gravity knives/inertial openers ( loose pivots on just bout anything ) . There is no blade length , double edgese are legal ( but frowned on ) .

Enforcement /application of the law varies greatly , depending on the totality of circumstances . Large cities tend to be a tad less friendly to EDC . The law is quite flexable , and can be stretched to cover lots of situations . I would be very carefull about F/B carry in large urban areas .

Generally , dont be a Doofus , keep your pivots tight , dont look and/or act like a member of the manson family - you should be OK .

Do not state that anything implement is for SD . Concealed carry is a bit complex , usually some indication of criminal intent is required , and it does not apply to TOOLS ! As I warned you earlier , the law is flexable . A SAK in your pocket , is mostlikley OK , a double edged boot knife taped to your ankle - figure on getting busted !

A multitool is welcome most everywhere ( see earlier remarks about Doofus type conduct ) .
