It's not too bad at all.

Les Hiddins has a few books.
He was an Army trainer (Major I think) Trained special forces to live off the land from the Rainforest to the Desert.
He also has a TV series from 10 years ago or so thats on DVD through ABC network

That book titled Bushcraft is a good one. I had a copy too many years ago. I'm sure a used copy can still be found online without too much trouble.

There were several books written by Berndt Berglund in the 70's. I believe he was a Swedish immigrant to Canada who wrote a series of books on surviving and thriving in the wilds of Canada.. He had a large hand in the Canadian Air Force survival manual "Down But Not Out"

I met Berndt Berglund many year ago at the Toronto Sportsman Show. He used to do wilderness survival demonstrations etc.

I have The Edible Wild by Berglund and Bolsby. I should see if I can get it copied as a pdf.

I also used to have 'Down but Not Out' but who knows where it is now. The National Film Board also used to have videos of the same title.

That brings back some memories.

And welcome to the forum Freezepop.

Thanks to this thread, I got to wondering about Berndt Berglund's book on survival. I don't think I ever saw it, so I went on line and found a used copy for $4 which I ordered.

Looking forward to it.
