Greetings all. Just ordered a three-blade Canittler, and wondered about the factory edges. The blades are D2. Ive been hearing good things about overall quality, figured I'd take a chance.
Many thanks, Ditch.

I only have 1 Cannitler but it came extremely sharp. I wasn't paying attention when opening it and cleanly sliced off part of the skin on one of my knuckles.

I just received my first Canal Street cannitler in burnt amber. I was very impressed with the edges. All three blades were razor sharp.

Likewise. I have a canittler in smooth antique bone and a muskrat in amber jigged bone. You won't be disappointed.

My only Canal Street is a trapper in 14-4CrMo (equivalent to 154CM). The blades were perfectly ground and came nicely sharpened. I keep watching their lineup to find another offering that I want. I found their fit and finish, and the overall quality, to be top notch.

My only CS, a large stockman, was the sharpest knife out of the box that I own. Very nice grinds, f+f, etc. One thing though, it was also the dirtiest knife out of the box that I own. Seemed like even after a good initial cleaning, grit was coming out of the joints for weeks. Excellent knife though.

I am considering their new lockback, the Pinch. Has anyone picked one up yet? How is the fit
and finish? I am a fan of blades that lockup tight, with no play.

Thank you all for your replies. It arrived today. F&F are excellent, other than a touch of side play on the spey, and sheepsfoot end. I may try and peen it down a it. Factory edges are quite sharp-won't need to do anything there. Seems like it will EDC nicely as well.
