Has anyone used / EDC'd this 14-4CrMo steel? Looks a lot like 154CM, but haven't had any experience with it.

No, but I have been drooling over one and saving my pennies.

The 14-4 CrMo steel is Latrobe Steel's version of 154CM. And it is said to be hardened to about a 59HRC.

I have the two-blade version in buffalo horn and it is very nice. Excellent fit and finish and great sharp blades. The two blade version is in 440C though, but I have found 440C to be more than good enough for regular use.

That's a nice looking knife. I was thinking about grabbing a few more trappers ever since i got my little Queen in D2.

I had a Microtech with 14-4CrMo, and it was a great steel for me. Seemed a lot like 154CM/ATS-34, but a tad bit better, as it has stayed sharper a tiny bit longer, but that could have been due to Microtech's heat treat, which is (or was) pretty darn good. Per a magazine article (don't know how much I trust the article) I read a while back, 14-4CrMo should be close to BG-42 in edge-holding.
