I recently acquired my first Canal Street Cutlery knife. I bought the Ring Opener model. In addition to being an unusual design this knife also appealed to me in terms of size, weight, look, etc. In short this knife suits me perfectly. Fit and finish beyond expectation...absolutely perfect. It really gives you that satisfaction of knowing that you own something special. If anyone is aware of another CSC knife that is also small, please suggest it as I'm more than satisfied with the quality this maker puts forward. Thanks, and try to grab one of these if you can, you'll not be disappointed.

I like my Eric's Jack, which is my only CSC knife. Very high quality and perfect fit and finish. Shame they went out of business. If you can find one of their Boy's Knives or Barlows, those are good smaller knives.

Unfortunately they didnt do many small knives. The next smallest would probably be the Cannitler. Canal street put out a fine group of knives, shame they went under.

The Barlow and Boys knives are the smallest after the ring turn. They stopped making the ring turn around 2013 due to parts availability. The English Barlow and Boys knives are fantastic knives as well.

They also made the Pinch Lock Back, which is a larger knife, however very thin and rides in the pocket well. They even made a very light weight Pinch called the Aire Weight both great knives. I have approximately 350 Canal Street Knives and the majority are Barlows, Pinch Lockbacks, a dozen Ring Turns and then a smathering of other patterns to include some of their fine fixed blade knives.

I was fortunate enough to visit their factory on many occasions and though they were small, they were a great bunch of folks. Sad day when they closed the factory...
