I heard it straight from the folks at Canal Street Cutlery that they were introducing new patterns in a few months. Has anyone seen any of the prototypes or amples at recent shows?

Wait till you see the ring turn opener. It made the Las Vegas newspaper during the Shot show. I was there when the prototype was made. It took six of them to wrestle it from me and even then I could have hung on but they needed it for the show. Now they hid it from me.

Ring turn opener??? Way cool! Now how about a texas toothpick, in pearl, of course... and a big clasp knife?

Thanks for the report, LT

Phil

I was just up there before they went to Vegas. They were pretty jammed up getting ready I got there in time to get in on the ringturner. I have to get back now that they are back . It is almost time to close down the exhibit in Ellenville so I should be over there. I will see about pictures ehh the hell with pictures I will just buy the knives.

The ring turner is handled in jigged bone and works on a cam. I will say that they are planning to start re introducing a lot of old patterns. Thanks Micheal for saving me from copying more pics. I will throw in some extra handles. I still have to see if I have different ones. LT

Now LT, I didn't post the link of that fuzzy ebay twist ring knife to let you off the hook. I think you posted pics of one a while back, and probably have them on your computer. And from what I have seen, I suspect that you have a jumbo version with twelve inch blades and four inch rings that were originally the door knockers on NYKC president's office doors.

From the '20s-'30s Catalog E. The factory called it a "Ring Opening Knife". I guess the name "Twistring" is just popular usage.
