Can someone describe the backspring arrangement on the CSC Amber Stag Bone 3 1/2" Whittler? Or can you post a pic?

Thanks in advance,

Sam,
There are two springs. The sheepfoot and pen blades each use a single spring, the clip blade, which is opposite the other two, uses both springs. Very tight and great snap. I'll post a picture tomorrow.

FWIW, I received my CSC Whittler today, and it's a classic splitback with a brass wedge. Very nice.

I also recently picked up a current issue Case 6383 Limited Edition XX, which uses a stainless (or nickeled) wedge.

Interestingly enough, both of these knives have small issues, such as blade alignment.

I also have a serpentine Boker, which is not a splitback but rather uses tapered springs. It's slimmer than either the CSC or Case, and does not have any "issues". Also, it has carbon blades where the others are stainless.
