I don't care for the handles on these - they don't look comfortable for some reason. Maybe it is just me.

Knives from the Canary islands. Cutlery To Go used to carry a few models, now they only have one. I think they had a folder once, also.

I like the style.

I'm not an expert in traditional spanish knives but I'll try to give you some info about this canarian knives.

They were created as utility knives for farmers but it quickly became a general utility knife in Canary Islands. Some studies propose that are inspired by traditional english knives and that they appeared in the XIX century.

The strange handle is just a rudimentary guard, cheap and simple, and it can be used to carry things using it with the sheath too.

Nowadays there are lots of this knives, the mayority are just junk for tourists but you can find expensives custom made ones too that can cost up to 800$.

I hope this helps :)

That unusual handle style is actually quite comfortable. The swell fits nicely into the hollow of your palm, and the index and little fingers wrap well around the narrow parts. Something similar is sometimes used on fencing swords and 18th century plug bayonets.

Nice article in one of the "knife annual" publications back in the 90's (?). Interesting knife design, swelled palm, stacked handle construction, finger choil, hard pommell, drop point utility shape - sound like a combat knife?

Old world construction and tactical features too.

The article pointed out some were pretty low quality, so be careful.
