Good friends of ours lost their daughter to leukemia (AML) Monday morning. Her name is Natalie; she was diagnosed when she was seven. She lost a long, hard battle.

A friends' words frame it best, I think:
Good morning all. I keep waiting to figure out the right thing to post, but many of us are at a loss for words. Natalie passed away at 2am yesterday morning. The Nakatanis lost their beautiful, strong and courageous little girl Natalie. Thank you to all the people who fought so hard for her to find a match for bone marrow. Thank you to all the people who prayed. Thank you to Grant and Tammy and Sean for being the best family Natalie could ever have. Thank you to God for giving her a new start, free of pain, fear and sorrow. Please continue to pray for the Nakatani family.
If you have kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc., tell them how special they are every day. You never know when you might face the possibility of spending the rest of your days without them.
