Hello Guys, My name is Joel and the 3 kids in the picture are my 3 year old twins Carson and Claire and the big guy in the middle is 6 year old Evan. 4 days after Christmas Evan was diagnosed with Leukemia. He has grown extremly bored as he had to be taken out of school and spends 2-3 long days a week in a childrens chemo clinic 1.5 hours away from home. Over the last few years he has been a great helper in knife collecting and has a special box of his own that he can look through when he's with me. Last summer he picked up a few at a garage sale that he decided he can part with and has decided to try to sell them so he can buy something he can do while at clinic. Maybe a few model cars or a case wooden knife kit that he can use to cut play-dough and clay with. Check out the link in my sig line.

Sorry to hear about Evan, Joel. It breaks my heart to see kids suffer with stuff like this.

I hope things go well for you guys and that Evan kicks this thing's butt quickly. Stay strong!

Positive thoughts from the Pleasant Valley for all of you!....

Joel,

Do you think Evan would like these? Not quite the same as building them yourself, but I would think a boy his age would be pretty chuffed to have them....

I've had them just sitting around my workspace here, I could spare them if they'll put a little joy in his life.

PM me your address and I'll get them boxed up and on the way to you.

Sorry for bein a little late to the thread Joel.

That's a great picture. I'm truly sorry to read about this. I know life isn't fair, but kids shouldn't have to deal with things like cancer.
At that age, all they should have to worry about is going to school, and playing. I hope he has good success with the chemo, and has a speedy recovery.

Sorry, Joel. Prayers sent. Cancer really does suck. My dad had Cancer too. After a few surgeries it's all gone. I hope Evan has a fast recovery.

I am not going to buy any of his knives, but I am going to see if I can come up with something for him to do in the next week or two. I will PM you for a shipping address once I have things put together and ready to go.

My heart goes out to you and I hope everything turns out for the best.

Joel., thoughts and prayers from Missouri for Evan(which is also my youngest son's name btw). I like to see him hang on to his collection and still be able to get something to enjoy while at the Doctor's, so I'd rather make a small donation if I could. Email me your paypal address when you can. My email is bret dot w dot hill at gmail dot com

I've been thinning the knife herd a bit lately. Am goona sell them, as I'm out of work right now. I'd love to send a couple of those knives to you guys for him to sell. The kid's got balls. Going through all that crap medically, and still being independent raising his own money for buying something he wants. PM or email me your address so I can get it out to you ASAP. God bless your whole family, and your little man.
