Candiru rust resistance?

I was wondering what sort of rust resistance an ESEE Candiru has. I know it's 1095, but it's also coated. Will I need to maintenance it frequently? I live in a humid place, so carbon steels make me nervous.

Wherever there is coating you should be fine. Just watch your edge. A little wipe down with oil each night should keep you rust free.

Like what was stated, you are fine where there is a coating but if you actually use the knife the edge is very rust prone. I was cutting some brush with mine and when I came in the house, maybe an hour later, I had rust on the edge. Don't get me wrong, I love the knife and use it daily and keep it oiled, but they are rust prone... Maybe if it's a safe queen or oiled after each cut you won't see issues...

Good point. The carbon steel knife I have, I just let gain a natural patina with use.
