Candlestick Jack?

Saw this caption on another knife site and I've never heard this name before.
I know what knife this is, I have just never heard the phrase "Candlestick Jack".

Candle end jacks are like a dogleg with a pointy end. Here is one from the 1926 schrade catalog, schrade didn't usually specify descriptions though. I don't know if the 85 would qualify as a proper candle end or not.

GEC calls it a Bullet End Jack.

Teardrop and candle end are not the same pattern.

Candle end means "pointy"! The #85s are Candle-end Jacks! I don't know where the "stick" came from?? Next thing you know someone will call one a "candelabra Jack"
Pattern names are sometimes a fertile ground for confusion, mis-nomers, and not paying attention!!!

Maybe not. However, that don't mean they don't look the same from 5 feet (or more) with a quick glance.
