Saw this caption on another knife site and I've never heard this name before.
I know what knife this is, I have just never heard the phrase "Candlestick Jack".

I've never heard the "Candlestick Jack" designation/description either.

An alternative to "Teardrop Jack" to confound "people"?

Candle end means "pointy"! The #85s are Candle-end Jacks! I don't know where the "stick" came from?? Next thing you know someone will call one a "candelabra Jack":rolleyes::D
Pattern names are sometimes a fertile ground for confusion, mis-nomers, and not paying attention!!!:p
