Cannot post images or insert links

[The Knife Life]

I access BFs on my mobile device and can no longer insert pictures using the generic picture icon at the top of the reply box (I have to use the paper clip "Attach Files" function at the bottom) or use that same function to insert links to post an embedded image. The icon to insert or upload a picture is now grayed out as is the icons to bold or italicize text.

Pretty much all the icons at the top of the reply box is grayed out for me and I previously had access to and made use of these.

Any idea what is going on and how to fix it?

I'm an active gold member.

Click the 3 dots, then the brackets.

Ah! Thank you!

I had clicked the 3 dots but didn't go so far as to click the brackets. I wish they had a pop-up explanation when you hover over top of it or a legend somewhere to tell you what all the icons mean.

Final question...

Any idea what the gray banner with the up/down arrows and the circle and a check mark underneath our posts are for in this thread?

I assume it's something to do with me having set this thread up as a question when I created it?

Yep, you're correct. It was setting the thread as a question rather than discussion.

That is so people can up vote or down vote posts so ideally the best response will be at the top. Assuming one sets the order by votes.
