Why? Its a horrible 110 with really nice materials. The tip hits the backspacer when closed mildly hard and the thumb studs are useless as they have zero access underneath. The Apostle P has a couple YT videos on how much of a disappointment the knife is and what he did about it. I am nowhere as skilled as him so hand grinding thumb access into the G10 and bolsters themselves is beyond me. Just pulled one of my Walmart 110's and its blade does not hit the backspacer and is far easier to open with a Kwik Thumb thumb stud attached its a much better knife than the ungodly expensive Lochsa. If your into 110's and are looking for a really nice user stick to the Custom Shop 110's as the Lochsa is just another production knife. If your a collector then yeah sure display it. Thumbs down from me I should have just returned the darn thing....

Get a 486,but watch the thumb studs on it as mine came loose and fell out within a day.Superglue and a tap with a hammer and shes all good.Great user with features I wish the 110 had.Or just do this:-

You'll find a buyer. Someone may find the ergonomics of the stud perfect.

It is my screen or does it look like the kick has been filed down too short on it?

Kick might be short. You could have a midder fix both issues cheap though, it's not hard to relieve the scale/bolster for thumbstud access or remove some material from the backspacer to give the tip more clearance.

Ive got a modder that could do it Im just PO'd that Id need to pay someone to hand grind thumb access into the knife AFTER I paid near $240 for it. Shame on Buck I swear. I was sooo hyped to get this thing. It was to be the holy grail of American pocket knives a true one handed opening 110 with a clip! The clip is indeed perfect. The G10 is some of the highest quality G10 Ive ever seen on a knife. Id want bigger thumb studs and thumb access. Even after spraying it with CLP then some good gun oil on the pivot the darn thing still has a ton of resistance to fight through upon opening. The Lochsa may have custom features but it is slammed together with high pressure machines just like any other production 110. Custom Shop 110's open up nice and easy with 1/4 the mechanical resistance to fight through. Yeah Ill have thumb access ground in like in The Apostle P's second Lochsa video and hopefully find a slightly wider and longer knurled thumb stud to fit it.
