For any of you with fiberglass, Royalex or polyethylene or similar material canoes or kayaks I just scrubbed my canoes today and applied a coating of Aerospace Protectant 303. I'm impresed at the restored color and as the label says it's "SPF 40 for your stuff". We'll see if it lives up to it's reputation, I'm hoping it does since for the time being I have no choice but to store these guys outside. Anybody else have any experience with this product?

303 is the protectant of choice if you follow any of the kayaking forums. I use it on my fishing sit-on-top and find that it works very well at restoring lustre and color and at preventing sun fading.

The key to outside storage is tarping. Sunlight will break down the plastics over time if you don't. I keep mine outdoors, but it also has a blue tarp over it all the time.

303 is the stuff to use on a Zodiac or a vehicle. Don't ever use Armorall or any other silicone oil. It makes repairs a real problem.

A dedicated rack of somekind with a supended tarp over them is definitely on the to do list.

I bought a 32 oz bottle online through Amazon.com from the cheapest vendor, you can probably find it locally if you take the time to call around. I do not believe that big box stores like wally world carry it.

303 rocks for all your rubber, plastic, vinyl etc on your car too. Really great stuff.

303 is the ticket. As others pointed out tarping off the ground is a most excellent idea.
