Well,
I didn't get in on the Fast-Friday-Frenzy sale the other day and a Forum brother messaged me that the US made, limited edition Canoes were still available in the store. So, full of the spirit that I had missed something big I called up a week later and they sent me one right out. My CC wept.....so did U Canoe....I was shocked how small it was, I guess I thought it would be something along the lines of the super-sized, double grand double cheese or maybe music would play as the box opened. But alas it was just a regular but fancy knife......my first Canoe of any make.

I guess all thousand year old ivory eventually cracks, in the future when I am old and grey and I decide it's time to sell some knives. Maybe the rest of them will have cracked so mine will be of equal value. If you call I would have them open the box......the etching was very lighly done on my example. Well I have a US made Buck Canoe, haven't been many of those made so far.....It just feels 'thin' in my hand, maybe I am just a Stockman bigot......

Nice Photo's Craig,

That old Ivory (mastodon) often has fishers or cracks. I guess that's from being in the frozen ground for so long. The Duke 500 from a few years ago had them (cracks) also.

Craig can you also do a photo of this knife with a China canoe?

Sorry Flat, I was slow on the uptake.....

My guess on size is that it's about a 302.......if there was one...hey that can be the American made model number ......nah
JB, I have to admit " I don't have one." BCCL could do a canoe and 301........If they come out on production, I wish they would have one with two Warcliff blades. One to sharpen rough and one to sharpen fine.

Sorry to hear you were disappointed. You should just send that one to me so you don't have to look at it any more. :D
