Hey guys, here is a canoe whittler I made a while back. I`m working on another one now, planning to take it to the Oregon Knife show. What do ya`ll think? Its been a while since I tried this, hope it works.

Love it!
Especially that fileworked backspring and long pull on the main blade. That slippie is bustin' with all kinds of tasteful elements.

I'd say you hit a homerun with that one. The extra touches just add so much to the knife. Just beautiful.

I just wanted to add; it's really great to see you posting here.

Great to see you here Bill! Love the knife, esp the fileworked split spring.

Hi Bill, Love the "running leaf" engraving you did on the catch bit and the escutcheon!
Awesome my friend.

Great knife, I love splitback whittlers!

Nice to see you around Bill, hope you become a regular.

Thanks Guys A couple of yrs. ago I attend the GRS engraving school in Emporia Kansas. Steve Dunn was my instructor in that class. I have not done a lot of scroll engraving as of now, just don`t have the time. I am however doing a lot of engraving on the tapered spacer in my whittlers and also some on springs and the backs of blades. I think it adds a new demension to my work.

Here is another of my whittlers. A stag sowbelly whittler. This photo was taken by Coop. He really makes them look good.

 HOME Run!!! A very exquisite knife, thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing more of your work here!!;)

Great looking Sowbelly Bill. Bill was very kind to me 3 or 4 years ago and invited me to come to his house and work for a few day. While there he helped me build a three whittler that I was very pleased with the out come. Thanks Bill !
