can't afford an 801cf.....so I modded my 801

Well I love this knife and can't afford the m390 cf version so I decided to mod mine

Oxidized the scales and polished some hardware...I really like the change

Looks really nice. They should come from the factory with polished hardware, IMO. I don't much care for the black. (Though the black hardware isn't going to stop me from buying new ZTs.)

Thanks guys, worked from 800 wet paper to 2500 then used my mini buffer I use on cars at work

You motivated me to strip the Black paint of the pocket clip.I polished it to a mirror shine with a dremel.The clip now blends much better with the mostly silver knife.I always wondered why they used black and not silver hardware on this model.....The 0801 is fantastic knife, but I am not a big fan of painted pocket clips.A Ti clip on this knife would be the ticket!
