Can't believe how high this went

I got a lightly used 234k at an auction a while back for $8, maybe I should put it on ebay for 100% profit!!

I'd pay a little extra for that super-cool celluloid pattern, but not $227!!

I would also pay more for that sweet celluloid but not even half of that. I can buy a ton of knives for $227!!!

I guess that K-horn is rare?!?! thawk, were you watching??

I was paying attention, and the price was surprising to me, if that is possible on Ebay. I see K-Horn and Butter & Molasses knives often, never selling for this much. I have noticed however, the 234K has sold for considerably more than the 896K in both handle styles. Maybe the 234K pattern is rarer than the 896K.

I like both handles, but personally, a Butter & Molasses handle is more attractive than KHorn. The B&M is a 3D celluloid with swirled texture inside the handle, while the K-Horn is surface colored plastic that looks better from a distance than it does in the hand. I have one of each, both are stamped 896K. In both instances there are unused, and I paid about 1/4th of that price.

The KHorn is often called Butter & Molasses by mistake.
