Stranger things have happened, but not very often...I just returned from Anchorage with my new Strider It's got a 3.5 inch clip point blade made of S30V, tiger stripe camo, OD cordwrap, and a nice kydex sheath. I have no idea what model it is, or it's value. It's pretty nice anyways. Seems a nice little PDFC (Pretty Darn Frequently Carried) If I can break it, I'll be amazed. Of course I've yet to see if I can cut anything with it either.... :D

I figured I'd give the beast a try and see if it grows on me. I usually shy away from prybars and defensive knives, but in this case it's exactly what I wanted.

I'll post further info as I play with it, make a couple meals, open some envelopes, etc. but for now...

ME HAPPY!!! :D :D

Yeah, checked there and at Triple Aught, but to no avail. haven't seen it yet.

I would like to know eventually. Wish I had a digital camera and the skill to utilize it.... :D

sounds just like a WP bowie model to me guys i have one just like it !! -fed (this is my first post by the way! just wanted to be helpful)

Welcome to the forums, and thank you for your input!

I found a pic of the WP, and it was the closest I've seen...exact same handle. Blade is a half inch shorter though, and I couldn't find a bowie pic, but I'm thinkin' it's the one. Right price range too. I paid $150 for mine, and it looks like most of them are 175ish.

How do you like yours? any feedback on it, positive or negative?

He is. He lives in Las Vegas AFAIK.

I did awright on it for $150. It was pre-owned, but LNIB. Looked alot better than it does now after a weekend in my possession. :D

I'm kinda startin' to like it pretty well. It'll never replace my Bark Rivers for boondockin', but around town, in the shop, and for defensive use, it's not half bad. Here's a quick list of what it's done this weekend.

Opened envelopes- did well enough- fun opening them in front of other people with such a combative looking little knife.

Cut taters and onions- sucked at both tasks, but got 'em done.
cut some steak and meat- did fairly well, darn skippy wasn't my favorite convex edge hunting knife, but suitable to the task.
cut some boxes and packaging, did as well as any other knife since penetration beyond the cutting edge was not an issue.
pried some nasty 18 year old weather stripping from my fathers garage door-did awesome :D Didn't use it to it's full potential, but it was a nastier task that I would have wanted to do with alot of my folders.
stuck in hardwood to block a bolt from turning (improvised wrench) this was the point I decided maybe a prybar of this type aint so bad.

Practiced forward and reverse grips a little with it, since it is a bit of a defensive piece, did real well. I really like how it has a predictable...indexable grip, and how it handles in pikal grip. Also carries really well, and doesn't stand out unless I let it. Cut the hell outta some old rags, pipe insulation, foam, and left some serious dents in a dowel rod I had to protect myself against a few times.

Overall, it's had no surprises. a pry bar is a pry bar and a slicer is a slicer, and I don't think that's gonna change any time soon, but I have decided there's a time and a place that a combative looking little pry bar aint so bad to have, even for us small town white trash types that don't jump outta planes or kick in doors for a living. :D

runs with scissors: that knife is a piece of crap send it to me so you won't have to be embarresed by it anymore. Ha Ha Actually its a great little knife. Sounds like the wp for sure. I have been wanting one with a tanto point for quit awhile. If you do decide to sell it let me know I will give you your money back>
