Can't decide on Ontario RAT6 or Spartan Harsey Fighter

I've been using an Ontario RD6 in 5160 for over a decade now. Wondering if I should add either an Ontario RAT6 in S35VN or Spartan Harsey Fighter in 1095 Cro-Van. Would any of you retire an old RD for one of these? And if so which one? I don't like finger choils on fixed blades under 8" but I like the shape of the RAT6 and the and I don't like fullers on blades but I dig the Spartan Harsey Fighter and both are around the same price. Or just save the money and continue with the RD6.

I wouldn't get the harsey fighter because I owned it once and it has a quick release mechanism that allows for fast deployment of the knife and ive heard of people's being broken after a few dosen uses, I sold mine and the buyer wanted a refund because his broke. Further, its very blade heavy, which is a subjective complaint. In my opinion a "fighter" knife shouldn't be blade heavy, it should be light and fast. As always this is my experience.
If I were you id get an esee 4 or 5

No love for the RAT6? Or just screw it and keep on truckin' with the RD6?

The harsey fighter is a very nice knife if you want a woodsman blade, I wouldn't use it after it's name however.
Other better options are ursus from white river
Comanche, Axiom and Brave from Smith and sons.
Civivi makes good fixed blades too enuff 2 from spyderco is a very sharp and light knife. Look around, shop around.
If you force me to choose id say harsey, but like I said the quick release tab has broken for my buyer and for others, doesn't mean it will always break nor break for you

I was just looking at those two because they are around the same price point and made in usa. I will not purchase a knife from communist china or taiwan or el salvador or anywhere else. And this is about as much as I'm willing to drop on a knife. I will not spend hundreds of dollars on a custom fixed blade. One reason I loved the Ontario line is their budget price point for a quality tool. I'm not going to nitpick on fit and finish and scales lining up perfectly, etc. They were $40-60 back then and well worth it and you could buy a couple.

It seems to me that you should save the money and continue with the RD6. There's at least one feature of each candidate that you don't like and, were you to buy either, I suspect you still won't like it and will wish you hadn't spent the cash.
