guys need some advice between the RC3 and RC4???
i am purchasing the RC6 mainly for out doors and camping. i am still deciding on an EDC that can still be used when i go camping. The RC3 and RC4 dont seem to have a great difference but then again i have never own or handle either on these blades. Any expert advice would really help me.
Oh i will me ordering an IZULA to.....so it is really between the 3 and 4.

thanks alot

I'd go with the RC-4 if I were going to have an Izula and an RC-6. It seems to split the difference between the two the best. You may wind up with all of them so it may just be a matter of in what order you get them.

They both sell for around the same price, go for the RC-4 and you'll be getting more knife for about the same price.

The RC-3 would be easier to EDC than the RC-4, but if you're getting an Izula I'd opt for the RC-4 (for the time being ;)).

I like my RC-3/Izula combo, but I don't have a 4 to compare with (yet). What I do like is I can carry the RC-3 pretty much anywhere outside of work without people getting excited. For work, the Izula is my EDC due to its very low profile.

My frist RAT was an RC4 w/a teckloc I did not like the teckloc it made it to bulky for me.
so I used the paracord not bad,but to much hassle getting off & on.then my next RAT was a RC3 it came with this boot clip it stayed nice and slim.I wear it inside my waste
around the back back.perfect! comfy!so I wanted to edc the RC4 and yes the RC3 boot clip fits the RC4 comfy comfy! now the difference's in RC3 & RC4,the RC4 has a thicker longer blade and a rounded pommel and a kydex sheath.RC3 thinner shorter blade with glass breaker pommel plastic sheath(i'ts still a good sheath)and a boot clip(wich I love) for edc. you say your getting a RC6 & izula,go with the RC3 and yes you will get the RC4 also if you go with RC4 I would order the boot clip to for edc.hope this helps you asked a tough question,so the awnser is not easy,

I EDC the 3 but in your case I would get the RC4 for now, but like JTC said you might end up getting the rest. That's what happened in my case.

thanks guys.....wondering what do the Law enforcement guys carry more the 3 or 4?? was the 3 made for Law enforcement purposes??
sorry again i am a new rat owner and cant wait to get my new blades. just want to get the right ones for me
thanks

I carry a RC3 on my tactical vest(and the glassbreaker does work). I like the shorter knife at work and wanted the serrations. That being said, I like the RC4 for camping. I like the extra length for camping chores.

My favorite is the RC4. The handle, the blade, the sheath--all very well thought out and executed.

Another vote for the RC-4. Big enough to do some serious work yet small enough to pack & carry easily.

I prefer the RC-3 over the -4 for EDC just because the shorter and slimmer blade rides much easier between the belt and pants. I use both and while the RC-4 is what I carry when I venture into the woods, I have never felt under-knifed while carrying the RC-3.

Agreed. Thats why my most recent purchase was a RC4. The 3 and the izula are not far enough apart to warrant carrying both imho.

I EDCd the 4 once. It was too big for me (and I'm a big guy). I EDC my Izula nearly every day. I'd like to get a 3 and EDC it as well.

I EDC the RC 4. It is in my front right pocket as I am typing this. It has a pouch attatched to the sheath and it is still slim enough to fit in my pocket without any discomfort.

I say the 3. The 6 will handle all of your larger tasks--the 3 is thinner and more nimble. :)

I wan't a 4. and a 3 and a 6....well you get the idea.

But i'm goign to start with a 4.
