Can't decide...

For 15 yrs.employment I get to choose a gift from a junky catalog from my employer.The only items of interest to me are a Swiss Army Knife (Spartan) and a Puma (Sportec).The picture of the Puma looks nice but I know nothing about it whereas I know the quality of Victorinox.HELP!

I've had a Puma Sportec for years, and it's stayed tight and sharp the whole time. I'm not too sure about current quality, but if it comes close to what they were putting out ten years ago, it's a sleeper. Mine doesn't have a pocket clip or a one-hand opening mechanism, but it's a heck of a cutter for a slim pocket piece. Given the gamble between a Spartan that can be purchased anywhere (and beaten to embarrassment by a Pioneer) and a Puma, I'd take the Puma. At the very least, it's a more unique piece in the States. Good on ya for sticking out 15 years for a knife.
