Limited run, I think.
6-8 years back.
Can't recall the name.

Hybrid khukuri handle with 9-inch bowie blade, steel crossguard, brass khukuri pommel cap, UB initials.
Khukuri-style sheath.

No, quite different. I'd already looked on the site & couldn't find it.

The CR has more of a scimitar look to it, what I have is more of a Bowie style.

I know there's been a few series of Bowies before, some made by Dil that look absolutely amazing, some that wound up being practically short swords as well.

A Crow knife perhaps? I think most I've seen are longer than that.

9-inch blade, overall length 14.5.
Chiruwa wood handle section, brass band behind the guard.
Steel crossguard 3 inches long, squared ends.

Sounds like it could be a Chitlangi Bowie.
The smaller one in the photo below is 15".

Chitlangi Bowie.
Waded back through several years of my past posts here & found it in 2006.

Thanks for the attempts to help. :)

UB initials are for Uncle Bill after his passing, maker I was advised was Kumar. Probably why his star's on it, but his initials aren't.

Says I paid $135.

Bawanna,
Sorry, not for sale, kinda like it. :)

I made the mistake, in a weak moment, of looking at the HI site for the first time in a while, which led to looking at some of the blems, which led through a convoluted mess of mislaid & apparently vaporized emails in trying to buy one, to the end process of a new CAK that should be here next week.

In the middle of which, I dug out what I already had from HI & was puzzling over this Bowie, trying to recall what it is.
I'll hang onto it, might eventually pass it on to a nephew that I regard highly.
Thanks for the offer, though.

Darth,
Never thought of mating Nepal & Russia. :)
What's your new rifle?

Wowzer, ain't that a looker! I'd be scared to use it with a finish like that.

Got myself a Thompson Center Black Mountain Magnum as well as 16 sabots, 1081 (I think) musket caps. Hard to find but it's what the rifle takes! Also got 'bout a flax of triple F powder, and some of those weird as hell 50 grain triple F powder pellets. Came with basically anything and everything you'd need in terms of tools to get going. The way I saw it is it was a good balance between traditional muzzle loaders, and modern ones in terms of sights etc. Taking out out tomorrow after taking a trip out to my fathers to wax his camper for him but it's worth it! The .50 cal sabots look like even if you miss it'd take care of whatever you're aiming at.
