Can't find my Howling Rat

I haven't used it in a while and it's nowhere to be found. I am usually pretty careful with my stuff. I always put the HR in a compartment in my headboard when it's not in use. I have been tearing my room apart for a week and still no Rat. I can't find my Inova 24/7 either, but the HR is nearly irreplaceable at this point so I am pretty bummed.

:(

Gen 1, Gen 2, HRLM? No matter what you're going to be pissed until it's found. If it's a Tan Gen 1, it may have been lifted by a filthy rat.:D:p

Well, it may not be much of a consolation at this point, but I will say that you have exquisitely fine tastes in knives and flashlights!

Haha, thanks. Now if only I could find them. I am considering buying another 24/7 since it's such a good light and not too $$. The HR I will just have to find, though.

Its in your day-pack/hunting pack. Under the pop-tart wrapper, some empty shot shells and the glove that you lost the mate to.

Exactly to a point of what I was thinking;)

I'm usually very good with my knives but I misplaced my 6P for a month once and ended up finding it in a pack that I already looked in for it a couple times:o

I know the felling it stinks but I'm betting they're around.

Good luck

Well I found my Inova 24/7! It was in a small pocket in my messenger bag. Somehow the pocked looked empty, but when I went to put something in it, I found the light in there. Hopefully I'll find my HR next.

I too have lost my Howler. Turned my whole room upside down, and still no knife. I was bummed, but mostly used it as an excuse to buy a new blade. But maybe one day it will turn up, it will be like Christmas.

If you can't find it...and are now about to act on that "excuse to buy a new blade...", I feel compelled to point out that there is a nice Gen 2 that has been "convexed" by BRKT for trade here on BF (yep, a shameless plug).

It's those dang elves again!!!

I agree. Elves. You're going to have to offer up a sacrifice of pixie dust and moonbeams. Then, your HR will magically reappear.

Seriously, it'll probably turn up when you least expect it.

Well I found it. Not two days after I sacrificed a wild unicorn on the altar in my backyard and it turned up. It was in a DVD player box that I had used it to open. I guess I just tossed it in there when I was done or something.:o That'll teach me to put things away properly.

one time i lost my keys in my apt.....had never done that before. searched for about 2 hours. finally gave up. went through the 4 stages of grief. 2 hours later, i went to the fridge to make a sandwich....there they were sitting on the fridge shelf in plain sight.

moral of the story: always check the fridge before giving up!!

i have a gen 2 HR also. would hate to lose it.

i am missing my bob dozier K2 however. its in the apt somewhere though.

Congrats on finding your blade. Relief is a good feeling.

Too bad about the Unicorn, but you gotta do what you gotta do! :D

Really glad it's back Snow. Just remember to take a look in all those cardboard boxes before they go in the recycling. :D

Yeah I shuddered thinking about what could have happened. My mom is well-known for moving things, putting them away in places they don't go, and throwing away things I wanted to keep. It would've been horrible if it got thrown away!
