Can't Find Small Micarta's Anywhere

Sorry to start a thread for this, but I can't find one retailer who has any Small Micarta's in stock. Are that that hard to come by, or made in limited quantities?
 
I was going through the same search a few weeks ago. I stumbled across edgedspecialties.com and they had one and only one. (sorry :)) Great service at this place by the way and they have a very good selection of CR knives.

Thank guys! I am going to be a bit picky and want for a ""21" if I could find it. I saw a lefty 21, but I'm not.
 
My wife ordered one for me for my birthday from knifecenter.com
They showed they had one in stock but she came to find out this wasn't true. We have been playing the waiting game ever since. She has called them to find out why they said they had one when they didn't. They didn't give her a clear answer but placed the order anyway. Well it is now over a month and we are still waiting on my birthday present.
She called CRK's herself to find out what the deal was and they said they wouldn't have any micarta's in until October or November. Freaking ridiculous.
I guess CRK called knifecenter about the order because they called and left a message on our machine Well my wife returned the call one day while we were in the car. She couldn't remember they fella's name who left the message but she still had the invoice in her purse. The man asked her who the gentleman was and she could not remember. He got really pissy with her and told her to call back when she could remember anything. i about got on the phone and jumped his shit for talking to my 40 week old pregnant wife like that but she hung up as she saw me going for her phone. TERRIBLE service. I'm call theknifecenter myself and canceling the order. I'm not giving those jerks anymore of my business.
I haven't bought a CRK in a while because I'm tired of the wait and now tired of their suppliers.
 
Thanks Edge but I am with Fespo. If I get one it will be a 21. Besides I have a bad taste in my mouth and I think I am going to buy a different knife. A Busse.
Very good of you though to step up.

FWIW, there are several great CR dealers out there that would absolutely NEVER let this type of thing happen to a customer. Off-hand I know New Graham, True North, Edged Specialties, and Grand Prairie to name a few. Of course, if you have time to go to the source, you won't get better service than by contacting CR directly. I'm biased of course, but I still think you should reconsider letting one bad experience spoil you on the brand.

On a much more important note, congradulations on the imminent birth of your child! What a great time of life! Enjoy the experience and don't forget - you can survive on 2 hours sleep!

Thanks Dallas. Typically I order my knives from CR directly unless a company(like the one's you've named) have one in stock.
This will be my 3rd child so sleep depravation is common in this house. Hahahaha. Thank you so much for the congratulations.
Also, I may just order direct from CRk's again as I am a very loyal and good customer of theirs.
 
Not to rub it in or nothing, but I just recieved a call from Charmaine saying my small 21 micarta with spiralgraph SS Damascus blade was ready. It's been on order for well over a year. Point being, maybe the Micarta's are starting to trickle out of the shop.

Maybe so. I hope so. It takes a year or so for that damascus to be ready. Please post pics because I am very intrigued how it is going to look, which I know it will be stellar.

I guess the guys ate KnifeCenter are slipping............ I too ordered some CRK stuff (The tool kit and the Leather pouch) that was showing as "in stock"........no response to my first couple of mails asking if they had shipped............then I get a mail that says "We are waiting on the Leather Pouch for the Sebenza to come in. I expect a shipment to arrive sometime in the next few weeks."...............!!!!!!

I can understand a few days(though even that should not happen with a professional outfit........especially if your website shows it as in stock)......but a few weeks is like............way over.

Anyways, I mail them again asking them to ship what they have and refund for what they don't. The response......."There are one or more items on this order currently not in stock. We have placed it on back-order. Your entire order should ship within 5-7 business days, if not sooner. Please note that your credit card will not be charged until we ship your order."...........do they even read the mails from customers properly???

They just lost one, in me.

Lousy Service.
 
Wish we had them in stock. Currently our back-order list with CRK sits somewhere between 50 and 100 knives. They do show up eventually.

Dang I been wanting one of those Micarta's to. Better find something else to do, else I will start obsessing over it.

I think I need to see a doctor,... I hear they have pills for my condition. LOL
